I grew up listening to Weird Al. I see him every time he comes through the area. So when the “Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour” was announced as a tour for the fans, I was very excited. I have been a fan of Al’s originals to the point where my favorite song (or three) of his were originals, so a tour of no parodies/strictly originals sounded awesome!

We arrived at Caesars and had to wait through the massive security line which took long enough that we missed the opener (Emo Phillips). However, when Weird Al took the stage it was all worth it. Song after song of his original material, most of which I had never heard live in concert before. It was fantastic. At the end of the night, we walked through the casino having had an amazing time. The only gripes I might have had were that he didn’t play anything off his first two albums where four or five of the songs on my song wish list resided.
